It's amazing how the hiring of [Redacted] and the resulting failure can somehow convince Wake fans that 20 years of basketball excellence preceding his hire is unachievable for Wake Forest going forward. It's like they gobbled up the bullshit that Wellman spoonfed the fan base the last 5 years and are begging for seconds.

Good post. But keep in mind there is an older cohort of Wake fans who came to that conclusion during the Staak era and never let it go. It is their tolerance for mediocrity that drives the current leadership.
