Was this discussed here? I have not been lurking much recently, but found it odd that they decided to do a large portion of the filming in Greensboro:

Sounds like most the big names will be in it. Never even knew the novel was out but after reading a blurb on wikipedia it does not sound like a sequel that is a continuation of the story we all know more like a different version to the last third of the movie and moving forward.
