Youtube is blocked at work so I can't see or link videos, but Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" is basically perfect and captures the emotions of losing someone, either physically or just losing touch/alienating them (original inspiration)

Wish you were here is 2/3 a perfect song

I've always thought that Wish You Were Here could have used another verse.

Anyways, here is my entry. Not an all time great or anything, but I like the sound:
