Haha I think Louise Mensch and Claude Taylor were mentioned for like a period of 3 weeks on this board before everyone figured out they weren’t reliable sources.

Regardless, Russia still interfered in the 2016 election, Trump still welcomed it, members of his campaign still participated in it and the investigation into this scandal was entirely justified as we learned for the umpteenth time yesterday following g the release of the IG report.

This isn’t hard.

Any information that's come out in official government reports or under oath has been damning for Trump and the Republicans.

Republicans are only defending themselves through tweets, "summaries," opinion columns, and unaccountable "news" sources. No one is willing to risk perjury to lie for Trump.

February 2017 to May 2017 does not equal 3 years worth of tweets like you claimed. It also does not negate what’s been proven in 5+ investigations.
 
Have been reading some reaction to this IG report on MSM and rightish media (Wall Street Journal opinion page, Fox News a little). The righties are all shocked about how there is this incredibly low bar for law enforcement to start an investigation, and appalled that law enforcement can shade the facts or omit facts to get warrants so they can pursue their targets.

Of course, civil libertarians and criminal justice advocates have been pointing this out for decades, because these tactics are regularly used to harass and imprison people of color and the poor, not to mention get no-knock warrants to bust down citizen's doors based on a whiff of evidence that there might be drugs in the house. No surprise that it only becomes a problem for the WSJ opinion page when these tactics get used against a rich white Republican.
