Idiocracy Intro

Oh it's real, thought we were a few decades away but the exponential increase in technology has accelerated the process.

to save some people time "you still don't get it!!!1111juanone"

Can we merge this with the "So how exactly did this happen" thread?

"South Carolina, WASSUP!"... and 10 years later Joe Wilson, a representative from South Carolina, interrupts a State of the Union speech to shout that the president is a liar. Life imitates art.

The video in the op isn't really what is happening to America. Fact of the matter is people in their 20's and 30's aka America's future voted overwhelmingly against Trump. Trump's election was more of a one last fuck you from the world's shittiest generation.

But maybe it did. Who boomed the babies?

Perhaps that generation is the result of what is described in that intro?

The theory in that intro is that America's IQ will get worse over time since low IQ people are reproducing at a far higher rate than high IQ people. In other words the younger the generation, the lower the IQ. If this theory was true then people in their 20's and 30's voting percentages would be much higher for Trump than any other age group. This isn't what happened at all.

Heck even in the Republican primaries the younger generation's voting percentages were much lower for Trump then the older generation's so this isn't a D vs. R issue. Young people in American aka America's future does not like Trump.

Right. And what I'm saying is perhaps the baby boomer generation is an example of that theory.

If that theory is true, maybe it has started to play out. There wouldn't necessarily be a smooth trend line showing lower IQ because the US still tends to get in-migration from the smartest people from other countries and they have a higher birth rate.
