Kalifornia ekonomy blegh

Obv the Kalifornia economy is driven by "metro areas" like Modesto and Visalia.
 
When I was working for Arthur Andersen I spent a week in Bakersfield. Upon leaving I affectionately described it as the armpit of America

That was our respite. We were auditing Safety-Kleen hazardous waste facilities out in the boondock oil fields. Literally we drove up, and I went in and the lady security guard had half of her teeth and she had a fly strip hanging up that you literally couldn't find another spot to put a fly on. It was literally some Mad Max hell on earth stuff. They had a leaching pool for their hazardous waste.
 
Most people don't realize how desolate and red much of CA is.
 
Wherever there is greed, money and a disregard for people...you will find Republicans.
