LOL. I don't think anyone here on the boards thought that Kavanaugh wouldn't ultimately be confirmed. He was the favorite all along, even after Ford's testimony. Flake and Collins were never going to vote no unless some dramatic new evidence was found by the FBI, and given the limited scope and time frame of the investigation that wasn't going to happen. Presenting Kavanaugh as the heroic underdog is yet another GOP attempt to rewrite history. He had at least 50 votes from the beginning, and that was all he ever needed.
