Kitchen Knife Rec Needed

FWIW, America's Test Kitchen has consistently ranked the $50 Victorinox Fibrox Chef's Knife at the top of its list, ahead of names like Wusthoff and Kershaw. I await the Moonz scoff.

I have the Victorinox and a Wusthoff 8" and I use them basically interchangably.
 
We have the Victorinox chef's knife and it is excellent. The grip is perfect.

I need a quality paring knife. Should I go with Shun?

I like the grip on my Wusthof and Shun better than the Victorinox I've used.
 
Really like my Shun knifes. I have a huge set, probably have used most of them in different situations. The chef's knife is the most common, but like the vegetable cleaver, great for cutting asparagus broccoli and the such.
