Here is the link to the prior KP Report: https://www.ogboards.com/forums/showthread.php/30866-KP-Report-Miami-Hurricanes-Saturday-2pm-ACC-Network?highlight=KP+Report+Miami
Update: Miami currently sits at 12-14 (4-10) #68. Miami has played better of late. Larranaga knows what he is doing, and they have improved in February despite having only 7 healthy players. The Cane's January 12, 2019, 76-65 home win over WF was Miami's only win between December 29 and February 2. On February 2, Miami had fallen to the bottom of the ACC at 1-8. Since then, Miami is 3-2 in the ACC, and one of those 2 losses was in OT at UNC (a game the Canes should have won). A key for Miami's success is the play of Dejan Vasiljevic. In Miami's 4 ACC wins, he is averaging 18 ppg and more than four 3-pointers per game (45%). In their 10 ACC losses, DV is averaging 7.8 ppg and 1.6 threes per game (29%). Contest Vasiljevic from behind the arc, and WF has a shot.
Like WF, Miami's lone road ACC win came at ND.
Bottom line: KP projects a 73-69 Miami win, and gives WF a 35% chance of victory (WF best chance for another win). If Sarr can play (effectively), the game will be tight, and WF could pull out a win. If Sarr can't play (or is hobbled), don't like WF in this spot. Then again, DM owns Tuesdays as WF is 4-2 on that day this season, a day when lesser coaches struggle. FWIW, the opening round of the ACC tournament is on a Tuesday, two weeks from today. The season's end is in sight....
