Labor/Workers movements thread

Never thought of them as socialist projects and curious.
 
Massive federal government spending project. Of course, like a lot of big government spending projects at the time, it greatly served the white middle class at the expense of Black people, neighborhoods, and businesses.
 
Military bases are massive gov spending projects too. Do we consider all government funded infrastructure to have originated because of socialism?

It's honestly an interesting discussion. I've always thought of the interstate system as having military and capitalist origins.

Won't argue at the damage the IS system has done to communities and the environment.

Tom cruise isn't taking the hit. It's, quite literally, everyone working on a movie "without a name." Every other person on/near/adjacent to a movie set takes a cut of their money to kick it up to the top.
 
There are 171,000 members of SAG-AFTRA and most of us have maybe heard of a thousand or so of them.

Fun fact, I-40 through W-S was one of the first legs of interstate highway built under the PWA which kind of explains why it was so fucked up. I guess they've kind of fixed it.
