Lanny Davis was the trump tower story “source”

pretty sure a lot of people on the right are completely mis-interpreting this story

1. It’s about Cohen’s statement in regards to Trump knowing about the meeting (not whether the meeting itself happened or not...we know it did)
2. It was odd for Lanny Davis to be so candid about what Cohen knows related to Trump/Russia in the first place. Especially if wants his client to cooperate with Mueller. Rational security podcast on lawfare had a pretty big discussion about this last week.

This walk back could very well be to protect his own clients ass. Even if it’s not...whether Cohen knew or not...it’s like a grain of sand in the beach that is the Russia scandal. Not going to matter in the grand scheme of things.
