Lead (that's right, lead) is primary cause of crime

i think the article should make it more clear that economics and crime are related. in fact i had thought they were strongly correlated.

only tangentially related, but the problem with the broken windows theories and the actual analogy itself seem too simplistic. broken windows could partially explain crime rates and motivations sometimes, but i do not think in all cases.

it is not hard to imagine a ubiquitous heavy metal that has already been linked to so many health issues now being tied to a social issue. good article

eta: i was wondering if this happened globally and the article says yes.
