Not sure I get the logic, he’s either good enough to shoot a wide open shot or he’s not. Missing the first has very little impact on the result of the second

I get that in a vacuum but I guess I mean more so he shouldn't be taking those shots in higher leverage situations. First 4 minutes seems like an ok time for that shot. Same idea for Efton if he's wide open.
