Underperformed to our ranking per usual. At least it was not a huge underperformance, but still...
 
Cameron Young and Detmer graduate so have 4 solid players returning and hopefully a stud or 2 frosh are coming in? Would be nice for Haas to retire as program needs new life.

Wake will spin it that we were ranked third and finished third in stroke play-you won’t read much about the match play loss.

Makes one wonder how such an obviously terrible coach continually gets top notch players to come play for him. Hmmmmmmm.

Not sure what people (other than the obvious trolls) are pissing and moaning about and I'm one who wanted Haas gone years ago.

Disappointing showing but no chance in hell this team was beating OSU.
 
Uh, we finished third in stroke play and lost a nail biter in match play. Hardly a failure of a year.

Good grief - it seems this is finally the one year where Haas's job should be secure. Once you get to match play, it's really a crap shoot. For the first time in a long time, the team played as well at the end of the season as they did in the fall/earlier in the season. And it seemed that the strength of the team was its depth, so there should be high expectations for next season as well, as long as everyone comes back. There were several tournaments this season where Wake played individuals who ended up shooting better scores than some of the official team. And didn't Bae miss the ACC tourney with an injury? I wonder if that was still an issue, as bad as he played every day this week. it didn't kill the team during the stroke play portion, but to basically give away one of 5 matches today makes things tough.

WTF is wrong with these guys? Was the guy who ran off the green the dude who was playing the match? Shake the guy's hand then go celebrate. It's not hard.
 
Finished third in stroke play and lost on the last hole of the deciding match in the national quarterfinals and people want Haas fired still. Miserable fanbase.
 
Match play seems like a dumb way to decide the National Champion but I think it’s much more exciting.

Team ranked third and finished third before match play. Lost on the final hole of match play to another good team. That’s golf.

Some of us have wanted him fired for over 10 years. Another season without any postseason hardware (none since 1989) isn't going to change that. Some pretty epic choking with Haas watching from a distance, arms folded, certainly isn't going to change that.
