WF men kicked ass today in Charlottesville and backed up the preseason prediction of winning the conference - winning the ACC for the first time since 1994

6 ACC squads (ND, WF, NCSU, UVA, Cuse, uNC) are ranked in the top 20 nationally so this was a strong field

Two-time AA Zach Facioni was the 4th Deac to cross the line, in 8th place overall. Very strong performance top to bottom.

Next up is the Southeast Regional on 11/11 where the Deacs hope to repeat as Region champs and qualify for nationals.

Cool. Looking through roster would guess more scholarship money going to distance guys with emphasis on international talent, which seems like a winning strategy.

First conference title in 28 years! In one of the few sports where all 15 ACC teams compete for a title. Awesome stuff.

Yes, we are directing most of the money toward distance and throws.

Yeah we apparently have a top two or three recruiting class coming in so we should be strong in men's cross-country for the foreseeable future

The WF men finished a disappointing 3rd at the regional meet today, finishing behind UNC and UVA. Those two squads earn the auto bids. The good news is that barring some sort of computer snafu, the men will get an at-large bid to nationals. XC at-large bids are driven by a precise formula described here:

The field is officially announced Saturday afternoon. Hopefully they will be in top form at nationals in two weeks.

NC State repeats as women’s champ and gets the individual title. Men run in a few minutes.

The men's cross country team has again set the standard for excellence for Demon Deacon sports in 2022-23 with their fifth place finish in the NCAA finals. Will any of the winter or spring sports teams beat them?

I would put good odds on one of the golf teams finishing higher than 5th.

Men's XC earned their program record 4th straight trip to Nationals this past weekend. In what has been a rebuilding year, the men were 6th at ACC and 4th at the Southeast Regional.

Five freshmen ran at the Regional for the Deacs, so the future is bright.

Deacs will run Saturday in Charlottesville.
