Why is anyone surprised? Whenever someone stands up to Trump, he runs away, cries and blames others for his limitless weakness.
 
What a freaking tragedy. Plenty of ethno-national groups have gotten shafted by Great Power maneuvering over the last few hundred years, but the Kurds have got to be near the top of the all-time screwed-over league tables.

Good luck next time we need to get a local group to help us out to deal with a bad situation. Our opponents - Russian, China, Iran, ISIS, whoever it happens to be - will say "hey remember what happened to the Kurds?"
