you know I was GONNA post my list this weekend but now I might not even bother

(secretly just mad u got 10/10)

also I am in the extreme ultra-minority that thinks Angel Olsen's BAFFNW was better than My Woman, I think

here are some albums that I don't think have been mentioned yet that deserve some ATTENTION:

jeff rosenstock - worry.
japanese breakfast - psychopomp
the goon sax - up to anything
bj the chicago kid - in my mind
drowners - on desire

Think Townie got three of my four with Lambchop, Shauf, and Field Music. I'd also throw Cass McCombs - Mangy Love out as an album I really dug this year.

I feel like Sturgill Simpson's last two albums sound exactly the same.

This is where I'm at. Dude is obviously a talented singer-songwriter and I liked the new record but I want to hear something different next time.

I went and tried to put together my list to disprove townie's vicious and unnecessary assault on my character, but whoops yeah I think I might just be a predictable dude. Here's my top 25?

3.) Anderson.paak: Malibu
4.) M83: Junk

also is that jeff rosenstock album really stylized as "WORRY."? I kinda like "Worry." better. it looks more like a command that way.

Wikipedia says it's "Worry.", but P4K and his Bandcamp site say "WORRY."

yeah, I am #teamwiki this time around

edit: I guess the album cover is explicitly "WORRY." too. WHATEVER.

Stop WORRY.ing about it.

Rap sucks now. Does that mean I'm old?

I'm trying to listen to blessings and I'd rather listen to someone giving birth

Isn't that kind of the same thing? I was never that into rap or hip hop but I'll take tribe called quest over anything in the last 5 years

Seeing as they put out a really great record a couple of months ago, that's really not as controversial of a point as it seems.

Accurate, just said the first thing that came to mind for "older" rap.

Also, listening to TCQ and watching the KU game is pretty sweet. Thanks for the reminder.

There is a lot of different sounding rap out there. Just bc you don't like some of it doesn't mean you won't like all of it. Living the in the A, I am really really tired of autotune trap. It's just so watered down and played out here at this point. But I like a lot of other stuff.
