Almost every major school does this every year. How do we have this thread annually?
As an aside, as someone who has attended one of these "secret scrimmages" before (hopefully I don't get shot for saying that), I can attest to the fact that coaches use these more as practices. For example, the one I was at they played three 10-minute periods (with wildly different lineups in each period) and then did a bunch of situational stuff (e.g. down by 10 with two minutes left, down by two with 8 seconds left, etc.). The stats for the whole scrimmage were kept in the aggregate simply because that's the easiest thing to do given the statistics program, but given all the different scenarios, saying that we "won by 17" is relatively meaningless.
