NBA offseason thread

The Spurs are consistently the best at evaluating talent. Plus there's something to be said for playing for a winning organization and alongside Duncan, Ginobli, and Parker. Kawhi is much better playing for the Spurs than he would be with the Wizards, Bobcats, etc.

Our very own Dinger doing work.

Hunter and Fisher have been in fighting inside the NBAPA. Seems like Fisher could be on hiw way out with Chris Paul as the players choice to take over as president.

the fact that bill simmons even entertained the idea that greg stiemsma could be valuable to the olympic team is one of the most boston homer-ish things he's ever written. and that's saying a lot. i think this celts team gets pounded in the playoffs.

Yeah, he also wants the rest of team USA to go to Garnett's house to beg him to be on the team.

Oh man, if CP had any old conservative Wake fans left, becoming a union head will say goodbye to them.

Seriously though, speaks to CP's character. So likeable.

This Celtics team isn't going to get pounded by anyone, but I give them about a 0% chance of beating the Bulls or the Heat in the playoffs.

Interesting that the Spurs now have a realistic chance at 50 wins (continuing their league leading streak of 50 wins every season since the last strike season in 1999).

Clev. and Portland tonight and tomorrow in SA, then Phx and GS on the road Wed/Thurs.

Pop might be the only reason they don't make it. Unless the Bulls lose one more game (only way Spurs get the top overall seed) the Spurs only need to go 3-1 (at the moment) to win the West (own tiebreaker with OKC).

And some NBA trivia:

Tonight the Spurs can become the first team in NBA history to win 5 consecutive games by 21 points or more.

JT had a strong outing today in a loss to the Knicks. 23 points, 6 dimes, 3 boards, 9/14 shooting.
