Nikita Whitlock Named ACC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week

We could do with about 20 more Nikita Whitlocks on our football team.
 
14 Tackles doesn't even do it justice. He disrupted nearly every play. It was phenomenal.
 
14 tackes definitely don't do it justice. Army had to double team him at times, which is something an option does not like to have to do.
 
We'll see how he does this week but Nikita is playing at an unbeliveably high level.

Well Nikita is suited perfectly suited to play an option team like Army. He's so low to the ground is very hard to cut block him, he doesn't have to go against 300+ lb linemen, and he can move so well sideline to sideline. He's not as effective against a big powerful offensive line, but one thing is for sure, he will leave it all out there.
 
Generally, the middle guard is double teamed against an option team and last year against Army and the year before against Navy Nikita was doubled heavily but he really manned up this year. Great effort by him.

Nikita didn't play last year against Army.
