It is kinda amusing how Dan told everybody that every game shouldn't be a referendum a couple of weeks ago, yet he treats every game like a referendum in his columns.

Good point.

Look at the titles of his last five columns:

Defining Debacle
Success More than Deacons Can Handle
Feeling Good Again
Deacons Reclaim Their Turf
Another Tough Trip Home

And how about this excerpt from "Feeling Good Again"?

"
But the closer you started watching the team in white, and the more you started matching the names to the roster, you'd see a team that, while clearly not as talented overall as the team in red, was younger and deeper. And on this night at least, you'd see a team that was tougher and far more together.

I want to emphasize the phrase, far more together.

If it were possible to strip away all the baggage of the past 2 1/2 seasons, and look at just what Coach Jeff [Redacted] has to work with right now approaching the midway mark of the conference season, you can see plenty of reasons to think that the worst of the bad times are over at Wake and spring is indeed coming on. Equally important is what you wouldn't see, the bad energy and self-absorbed behavior the Wolfpack displayed down the stretch while coming apart."

Wellman and suck-buddy Bzzz are two arrogant assholes. The Bzzz debacle has erased every good memory I had of RW's tenure.
