Jesus I thought the comments about a movie trailer were a joke.
But, the weirdest shit of all came when the White House revealed to reporters that Trump had made a Hollywood-style movie trailer featuring himself and Kim Jong Un as the only two dudes who could save the world, basically Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck in Armageddon, but without good music or any charisma whatsoever. The White House then screened the trailer for the press, apparently without any embarrassment.
In the video, which looks like a campaign video made by an 8th grader running for student council president (no shade to 8th graders), the Trump administration seems to invent a fictional movie studio, Destiny Pictures, and launched full-tilt into propaganda films for an audience of one.
"Destiny Pictures presents a story of opportunity," the narrator intones. "A new story, a new beginning. One of peace. Two men, two leaders, one destiny. A story about a special moment in time, when a man is presented with one chance which may never be repeated. What will he choose? To show vision and leadership? Or not?"
