Exactly. I've never been deluded into thinking any of Clawson's teams have been great or even very good for that matter. However, we always looked prepared.
What also concerns me is player development. We have/had one of the most seasoned offensive lines in the conference and were supposed to be very strong in that area.
We look like we did when Clawson got here. Very porous line, missed blocking assignments and SLOOOOW play development even with the RPO.
Hope Dave can pull things together and salvage this season and get us 6 wins. It's possible but not very likely from what he's put on the field thus far this season.
Any word from his post game comments?
I think the slow read is on Hartman. That will improve with experience.
Rice, Louisville, FSU I’ve penciled in as wins (not in pen). Not sure where the 6th comes from.
Nothing stellar on post game interview. Goren didn’t really press on QB questions. Same frustrations on D through 4 games. Really frustrated that we didn’t get off blocks to make tackles downfield. We prepared to not lose to the deep ball then they adjusted. Continues to be more involved with defensive coaching.

We are good to get beat worse than last year.
Wake is alright. We will play well in other games. Today you saw the difference between big-time top level football and lower tiered programs. The resources and facilities at the biggest football programs just creates a huge recruiting, etc. advantage. Wake has that advantage over Tier 3 teams, particularly non Power 5 teams. Just not very realistic to expect Wake to play the biggest programs evenly.
When your defenders are 4" and 50 lbs lighter than the guys they are covering and they get an extra 3-4 yards after first contact, it's not going to be a good day.Wake is alright. Basketball is a different story.

Nobody has 6’5” 245 lb safeties and corners
You and I both.Ha! Made me laugh. Would be cool though
Not just safeties and corners, across the board. Too many times our guys were in position to make the tackle and got bowled over.Nobody has 6’5” 245 lb safeties and corners

Lol at people on here making ND out to be a juggernaut. They should have lost to Vandy at home and barely beat Ball St. Our defense, outside of Rutgers, might be the worst in P5.
