Number of twitter followers for each pro team

As one who gets a lot of info from twitter I found this interesting. I'm surprised the NFL teams don't far outpace the top MLB and NBA teams.

I wonder if the Lakers got some of Newt Gingrich's fake followers. They have ~3M, far ahead of 2nd place's 1M. NBA in general is suspect, to have 4 teams ahead of the top NFL # of 556k for the Jets and Pats. It's certainly bogus for the Celtics to have more followers than the Pats, there's no comparison right now, Pats are far more popular.

NBA and MLB have more games and longer seasons. There's more action to follow on Twitter.
