Obama doubly insults Putin over Olympics

Obama is insulting Putin on many levels at the Winter Olympics. First, he's not going. That's an insult. Our named delegation doesn't even include Biden or any other Cabinet members. Our official delegation will include Janet Napolitano, Brain Boitano and Billie Jean King. This a direct slap at Russia's anti-gay laws.

Napolitano is an avid basketball fan and regularly plays tennis and softball. Whitewater rafting and hiking are among Napolitano's hobbies. She has hiked in Arizona's Superstition Mountains, New Mexico's Sandia Mountains, the Himalayas, and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Napolitano has never married or had children; as a result, there has been speculation about her sexual orientation. This included some campaign activity in 2002 when "vote gay" fliers were posted next to her campaign signs. She is not gay, she has said, "just a straight-up, single workaholic".

Also Caitlin Cahow. I don’t think it’s any sort of epic Obama vs. Putin action, but it’s a pretty solid gesture of support to select gay athletes to represent the country, given the controversy surrounding Russia’s homophobic laws.
 
Clearly as the ultimate sign of protest and solidarity, the women's ski teams from the US, Russia, and Sweden need to engage in group carpet munching on the medal stand a la Tommie Smith and John Carlos.

This is the correct way to handle this issue.
 
If the Russians buy and deploy some of those new Iranian instruments - the gay-o-meters, so to speak - that can supposedly identify homosexuals, then the winter olympics may become more tabloid-worthy than ever.

ps - Relax, Vlad will personally make sure that the instruments are properly programed, and he will decide who is gay and who is not. Now, where did I hear about something like that before ????

Clearly this is the greatest move in all of statesmanship since Otto von Bismark. We're just all beginning to behold the greatness of President Obama. Not sending Joe Biden is now an insult. Surely the demons of Obama's de-pantsing in Syria have all been avenged. You're all over it, Karl.

Except that female homosexuality has been co-opted into the realm of the acceptable since it's so integral to hetero porn. As many a fine, queer-hating, Southern Baptist will tell you. So it's not really "gay."
 
The few members of the GOP establishment who care about outreach and broadening their tent have got to be holding their breath on how this turns out. Roe vs Wade is 40 years old and that didn't stop morons from popping off about legitimate rape. Still possible that some fringe loon pops off about homos representing 'Murica. Russian/Putin is the wildcard. Not sure if the Tea Party hates commies or gays more.

GW running around Beijing in 2008 was awesome. Dude was definitely drunk at the Opening Ceremonies and the picture of him staring at Misty May's ass was priceless.
