Dennis Scott hitting 267 in 1996 (when the league took about 1/3 fewer threes) is also pretty bananas. Given the steady increase in 3's league-wide since I'm surprised someone from the mid-90's is that high up on the list.

Perhaps my final Kobe take.

Kobe Bryant is a great player, but not one of the all-time greats. He was overrated by a league and NBA fan community desperate to continue the Jordan legacy.

I think I read somewhere Kobe needed 60 something points to get above 25 pets for his career average

67 to be exact. As of this moment he needs 24 more.

Kobe scoring 50+ while chasing some meaningless milestone as his team loses to cap off the worst season in Lakers' history would be the most fitting way to end his career.
