Official 2012-2013 NBA Season postmortem

Nonny posted more accurate range depending on the sportsbook.

BTW, really like the Heat under. They are going to cruise for a lot of the regular season to peak in the playoffs again IMO.

Yeah but 60 is low for even a cruising Heat squad

They won 58 year 1 and the equivalent of 57 in year 2. Both times they shut down their main stars for some rest near the end of the season instead of killing themselves to catch the Bulls for home court.

This year 57 wins might even clinch home court as Chicago will take a step back and we know Boston is not going to go full throttle regular season either.

Like all Vegas props of course they could easily go over 60 and no one would bat an eye... I can see a lot of nights off for D Wade coming off his knee surgery though... and the team in general is pretty old.

They're deeper than both of those seasons so I don't think there will be such a drop off when resting the big thrizzle

They are still really old, and just got older in the off-season.

Ray Allen - older than dirt
Haslem - old
Mike Miller - can barely walk
Battier - old
Rashard Lewis - old

Update: Haberstroh is a lurker.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TOMMY HABS

old depth is better than no depth. they really didn't lose anyone and added allen and lewis. plus cole is a season more experienced.

Deron Williams will either be wearing a temporary tattoo of Betty White, the demented chipmunk or Yakov Smirnoff on opening night to raise money for Jon Stewart's autism telethon.

Why does the NBA have a preseason?

I never really understood this either. All sports do though so it makes sense, but it's basketball, they get to practice with each other all the time and who cares if some random lineup that the coach throws together can beat some other random line up the other team puts out?

Plus, as some of the predictions above talk about, quite a lot of teams couldn't even care less about the regular season, let alone preseason

Wait how do you break your hand doing knuckle push ups? That's strange.

Also I'm pumped for the Bobcats' mediocre season. We're gonna win more games than last year #minorvictories.
