This is literally the biggest foreign policy scandal / crisis in the history of the nation.

We have never had an official even close to t senior cooperate illegally with a hostile, foreign power.
 
Seriously though, the rubes have made up their mind that Mueller is just out to get Trump, and they will thus disregard literally everything from this investigation that is even remotely critical of him.

this is basically correct. watch a minute of Hannity and he'll talk about how Mueller once gave like $250 to some Dem candidate and how Trump fired his buddy Comey.

Funny thing is, Trump also gave money to a Democratic candidate, and her name is Hillary Clinton.

This is a problem because thanks to the wonderful long-term vision of various state governments in 2010, the rubes control the United States House of Representatives. If we had simply a corrupt politician with the insight and gravitas to step down, the rubes would be happy with Pence, but we have Donald Trump, so literally none of us could ever imagine him even considering stepping down.
