Ongoing Dem Debacle Thread: Commander will kill us all

Except there's no evidence that she's a sexual predator. The relationship between her and the female staffer was a consensual one between adults. Actually, she's accusing her husband of being abusive in their marriage, which is one of the reasons why she's getting a divorce. So, yeah, that opposition to Kavanaugh might actually hit home with her in a very personal way.

You must be confused (as usual) due to the number of relationships in this story but I'm not referring to the relationship with the campaign staffer.

Any thoughts on the relationship with her male Legislative Director who was a subordinate and clearly against House ethics rules??

And why did Speaker Pelosi issue a statement referencing workplace dignity and integrity if everything was on the up-and-up?

This isn't hard, Angus. She has denied the relationship with male staffer, and several articles have said there is no evidence of it, although a number of conservative blogs have certainly been pushing the story. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. If she did she should have resigned, but it still in no way compares to what Kavanaugh was accused of, which was sexual assault. Hill has accused her soon-to-be ex-husband of assault, which is pretty close to what Kavanaugh is accused of. If you want to draw false equivalences to her possible (though denied and not proven) consensual affair with a male staffer with Kavanaugh being accused of sexual assault, and pretend that she's somehow a hypocrite, then by all means go ahead. If you can't tell the difference between the two cases, though, that's on you.

Watching Brad stretch (and stretch and stretch) to try and find a GOTCHA moment regarding this, the President's attacks on the media vis-a-vis the Obama administration, and the the killing of the ISIS leader has been entertaining. Idiotic, but entertaining.

Angus and sailor perfectly represent the state of the GOP right now. So much insecurity about their party (identities) that they go after Dems for minor (or fake) shit that pales in comparison to Trump and the rampant corruption in the GOP while not taking responsibility for any of the bullshit in their party. Gotta make yourself feel better by going after a resigning Dem than not going after their guy who has countless sexual assault claims against him and is on tape bragging about committing assault. So brave and principled, they are.
