Republicans just passed a tax cut that’s going to blow up the debt by almost $2T. They had “economic analysis” that convinced them it would benefit the economy. Nothing Democrats can do will convince them a progressive plan will fit in the budget and Republicans will do whatever they can to make sure it doesn’t work.
Getting rid of Pelosi wouldn’t be an “ideological purge.” It would be forcing a generational change and good strategy.

I dont think thats fair. The party apparatus is controlled by the wealthiest donor networks, and the beauracracy they have installed. I doubt any Democrat on this board is wealthy enough to have that much influence.within the party, your ilk does control everything
Win more elections. I know, when moderates win it's only because of money. When leftists win occasionally it is because of their superior ideas.
maybe, maybe it's a fear of the general election. the party has lacked a core message for a long time and playing a prevent defense with mediocre candidates has clearly been a losing proposition. also, the complete failure to mobilize state and local elections might be the bigger disaster
