Nixon was a terrible racist, not only against blacks, but Jews as well. Kissinger was a Jew of course, but that didn't stop Nixon from complaining about Jews and "Jewish influence" in the government from time to time to other aides and cabinet officials in the WH and elsewhere. Reagan's rant to Nixon about African "monkeys" isn't very surprising either. It is true that Trump is simply expressing in public what many Republicans - including their presidents - have privately discussed. It goes back to the notion that many posters have expressed here that the real reason "Establishment Republicans" are uncomfortable with Trump isn't because they disagree with his racial and gender views, it's simply the way he expresses them.
