Paul Ryan had even more power to impeach Trump than Pelosi has.

In theory, but not in practice. He had no more control over the tea baggers and Trumpites than Boehner had, and he suffered the same fate as Boehner. Tea baggers and Trumpites, which became the same thing, have become the majority of Pubs in the house. And any Pub rep or sen who bucks Trump, like Flake or Sanford, will get primaried and lose said primary. Neither Boehner nor Ryan realized how little control they had of their house members until they were already dead men walking.
