California is the most populous state in the nation.
With slightly more than 39 million people (according to 2016 estimates), California is the nation’s most populous state—its population is almost one and a half times that of second-place Texas (28 million). One of every eight US residents lives in California. By 2050, California’s population is projected to reach 50 million people.
I can't imagine why

Of course, Sunnyvale is expensive. People who live there make tons of money. But there are lots of places in CA that aren't that type of crazy prices. But prices are much higher in CA than most of the country.
Only the cheapest of those homes is below the median home price in Greensboro.
"One of every eight US residents lives in California."
Wow.
I live in the Sac suburbs
The rest of you are suckers.
hmm...

So poors can't afford to live there because it is incredibly desirable place to live and you somehow present that like a bad thing? Poor mouth breathers moving out makes California more awesome.
The weather is great, the scenery is amazing they have world class surf/beaches, skiing, wine, and women. If you don't love California your a jelly hater. Plus Asians are absolutely dominating there and taking advantage of the world class collegiate opportunities.
haha...no. People are not leaving CA in droves. I live in the Sac suburbs, and we are projected to double in size in the next 10 years.
You couldn't drag me out of CA with a semi truck. CA kicks ass. Tahoe one hour away. Napa one hour away. SF two hours away. I look at Folsom Lake every day from my yard. I will die here. The rest of you are suckers.

My post didn't present anything like it was a good or bad thing or like it makes CA a good or bad place. I just pointed out that people are probably leaving because they can buy better homes for more reasonable prices in other places.
If you read my post to say that the outrageous home prices are not indicative of incredibly desirable goods but rather of a state that's beyond fucked and felt a need to defend CA in response, then that all came from you!
