Phillips wants Bball Tourney to Expand

His job should be to advocate for ACC teams to get into the tournament that exists not to make the tournament bigger (which it already is). It’s ridiculous that the men’s tournament added four spots and the women’s tournament stayed the same even though it was supposed to be due to conference expansion.
 
The over-reliance on Quad 1 wins is just so incredibly ridiculous.

Road win against the #75 team? Great. Road win against the #76 team? Infinitely less valuable. Not to mention, who you beat and where you beat them is already fairly accounted for in the NET ratings.
 
I'm sure this will be debated for many more pages but, bottom line, Wake got screwed last year. If it was UNC or Duke with the same resume, it wouldn't have been a consideration. Both would have been locks.

The women's tournament is also 68 teams now.
