Pinstripe Bowl vs Michigan State

Wtf was that? Just terrible clock management and why not throw deep with 3 seconds left?
 
Poorly played first half, but we’re up 1 point.
Still think we can win by 2 tds if we play well in the second half.

That doesn't count as kind of. That was pathetic from a clock management and two minute drill perspective.
 
What in the hell was that decision making from the stop of them on 3rd down (not calling a timeout) through whatever the hell that “drive” was.
 
Horrible clock management there. It was to the point of being absolutely embarrassing. Could have gotten the ball with at least 1:10 on the clock and 3 timeouts. If Clawson was worried about MSU getting the ball back, force them to stop you to do it. What's the point of having a good offense if you're not going to be aggressive there?
 
Well... lots of shitty decisions but we are up. Michigan State isn't much better than Syracuse.
 
end of 1st half strategy is probably the most puzzling aspect of clawsons coaching
 
Clawson needs to make changes to the defense and special teams coaching staffs during the off season and he needs to read clock management for dummies.

The kind of was that we called a pass play and Newman scrambled. Then called another pass play for Newman to take a deep shot. So Clawson didn't just kneel on it or run to see if we broke one. It was a nonsensical half measure.
 
Overall, the offense was good. Problem is the one mistake they made cost us 7 points.
 
Clawson's reluctance to turn the offense loose in end of half situations is frustrating.

Deacons are moving the football well on the ground and scoring with the pass. The D is doing the bend don't break enough to keep the lead. Special team penalties are eliminating good yardage returning the football. Good coverage kicking the ball.

This game is qualifying for a top bowl game award. Entertaining back and forth with some big plays.
