As a registered Socialist I am not proud of the state of my party or the Dems, in the interest of disclosure.

I'm disgusted by the state of the party but believe it needs to be changed from within.

I'm registered rep but wouldn't ever vote it now. There are only a handful of issues I agree with them on. My philosophy is focused on science and protecting the middle class, so no chance there.

There are maybe 3 candidates on this stage I would vote for and that is assuming that they move back to the center for a national election.

The fact that Carson and Trump are where they are is just fucking embarrassing. For humanity.

And what do you think would happen to their positions if they won?

I think it's pretty clear that a primary pulls candidates to the right or left. I think if you look at most of their records they're much more moderate.

I wouldn't be too sure of that.

I'm a registered Dem.....the only two Republicans who don't terrify me are Jeb and Lindsey Graham.

graham is a war hawk. you approve of that?

Yes. However, I'm equally disgusted with the democratic party. Disgusted with Politics in general. I don't think there are major differences in how the two parties operate once in power. They may pay lip service to different social issues, or want to spend a little more money in different places, but overall our government is a big business there to serve it's own interests.

I used to think that too, but I think it's pretty clear that the Obama administration made a lot of major changes that a Republican wouldn't have. Healthcare, gays in the military, not getting involved in another ground war in the Middle East, among others
