The only way to get rid of Jeff and Ron is revolution. Revolutions generally begin with strikes by the proletariat . The students should refuse to go to classes and occupy the athletic administration building.

The next step is get the support of the bourgeoisie. Get the young alumni association to support a suspension of all alumni donations until Jeff and Ron are gone.

From these steps, a dynamic leader must emerge to keep things rolling and to prevent the revolution from stalling.

Finally, certain members of the aristocracy (Wake Board) have to take up the cause.

It's that simple.

Barricade Bz and Ron in their offices until they resign. Refuse to allow them to see each other. That'll do it.

T-shirts and ads won't do it. What we need is the tied dyed proletariat with pitchforks and torches refusing to take their finals unless Jeff and Ron go. 45 years ago we shut down campuses to stop a war (not fully logical). Now you can shut down a campus to save a basketball program. Be brave, be strong, and be anybody other than me (I led a student strike once and to my amazement, the powers that be did not appreciate my initiative).

I was at Wake during Kent State killings, we tried to protest, at UNC they let anyone who was upset out of final exams, at Wake they said we are sorry you feel bad but you will get an F if you don't take your exams. Protest fizzled.

The only strike that would help is that of money. Students are at Wake Forest for the education, first and foremost. I could see them protesting something that has an effect on that, but not athletics. Nor would I suggest/expect that of them.
A better suggestion is boycotting games. No attendance = No ticket sales money.
That said, that is only a very small portion of the pot, but one that WE have some say so in.

Here is where I am completely stumped on the retention of Buzz. Wake Forest is about to begin the fundraising campaign to raise capitol to purchase and upgrade LJVM. How do you justify asking for (and donating) money for a program that is in the toilet? You finsih last in the ACC 2 years in a row, and want me to give you money to upgrade the facilities for that program? What do I get out of the deal? Lubrication for the F/U you have given me for the past 3 years?

together we can build a stronger atlantic socialist conference
