RIP Ed Wilson, Mr. Wake Forest

Very sad news for the Wake community. He had an impact on many many students at Wake Forest College and University.

Condolences to his family, friends and the Wake Forest community.

RIP, Professor Wilson.
 
The best of humanity. I often say spellbound in his classes. Romantic Poets in particular. That was 50 years ago, and my life was richly enhanced as a result. He would ask us not to mourn, but to pause and reflect on the beauty that is in all creation. I shall do so.
 
This hurts.

For those that were fortunate enough to have known him in or out of the classroom, the slogan "Mr. Wake Forest" could easily be synonymous with Mr Gentleman.

Truly wonderful human being that touched everyone around him.
