RIP Phil Everly

They were two guys from Kentucky who started out in country. Their rockabilly sound fit right in when rock and roll came on the scene, since rockabilly was an element of early rock. Their work was covered many times by major artists, and the tune to Bye Bye Love was used in the Roy Scheider film All That Jazz.
Many of the artists of the 50s are still around, but Phil Everly's passing is a major loss.

They used to have a club in Huntington Beach. It did OK for a while.

RIP

I loved their song "Love hurts" which was covered admirably by Nazareth in the mid-70's.
