Those of us in Philly were always amazed at people making the 85 NC game seem like it was as big a surprise as Buster Douglas knocking Tyson out as a 42-1 underdog. Nova took G'town to OT at home before losing by 2. On the road, Nova took G'town to the last 90 seconds before losing by 7. In two previous games, the teams played about equally as you could.

Yes, Nova played a perfect game, but it should not have been considered an Earth-shattering upset.

RJ, they played a perfect game in the National Championship. That was the surprise. That would be the highlight of any coaches career or the success of any team. It underscored an outstanding career by Massimino. RIP Rollie.
