Is Hartman still in the running for his first Heisman?

Is Hartman still in the running for his first Heisman?

Hopefully we don't redshirt him this year. I don't think he's done enough quite yet to wrap it up for this season. We'll have to wait till next year for him to play 3 games, secure the award and then sit the bench, with the goal of winning it 5 years in a row.

Everyone agrees Hartman should redshirt this year. He should sit out the Rice game and maybe play a bit against Clemson and then sit out the remainder of the year.

Clawson is going to play whomever gives us the best chance to win each week. No coach in the country is sitting around thinking "yeah, we may be able to win now, but what about in 4 years?" There are WAYYYY too many variables to bank on something like that.

Hopefully our coach doesn’t care about what other coaches around the country would do and does what’s best for Wake Forest and he will agree with all of us that it’s time me to go with Hinton and Newman and hopefully Hartman can redshirt and come back stronger next year.

Wouldn't that be game 5 played in for him? Thus, no red-shirt.

Officially, per Clawson today, Hartman is fine. Practiced fully today. Is the starting QB. Is 19 years old. Weighs about 185 pounds, per Jack Freudenthal.

185 is way too small to be asked to run as much as we run the QB, not to mention the pounding he takes from the O-line's poor protection against good teams.
