I'm running out of places to go as the kids get older. All 3 are in high school or close. We have been to and prefer the tropic type of vacations. We are water and beach people for the most part. We have a beach house though so we go there almost all summer. But we are more than open to anything else as well.

Maybe we could toss out some good experiences/suggestions on this thread? I would sure appreciate some ideas. Budget isn't really an issue. Thanks!

When I was that age we did St. John and would rent a house for the week. Also did the Bahamas and stayed in Nassau at either the Atlantis or beach club which was more secluded. Went to sea island too, but it has changed a lot now and has gone way up in price. You could also try Captiva Florida.

I'd check out Croatia. Want that to be my next big one.

Eleuthera is dope for laid back and non resort beach living

If budget isn't an issue, Rio de Janeiro is pretty cool. Has beaches, mountains, jungle, culture, and sports.

Go on one of the cruise ships in the new fleet of Royal Caribbean. Or even the Oasis/Allure fleet.

I always had a blast as a high schooler on cruises because anyone you'd meet, you knew they'd be there for the same length of your vacation. And the parents and kids can both have a great time, seeing each other for say excursions and dinner, but separate the rest of the time.

And if you have aversions to cruising or think you get seasick, the newer ships feel more like small cities than ships. You'll often forget your even on a ship.

And could always even combine ideas and do a Mediterranean cruise.

Ibiza - nude beaches, raves, etc. - perfect family vacation

Try Aruba. Its owned by Holland. Easy to get to from US, many there speak pretty good English. Nice beaches. Casinos. Ranch for rough-riding four wheelers. Submarine to the bottom of the ocean offshore. Good food.

Agree that cruise is the right answer for high school kids

109 of 110 recent high school graduates love it.

San Diego. Ton to do, including the beach.
