Sugar Hill’s Big Hank passed away today

One of my teachers in HS had a small TV studio and taught an extracurricular TV tech class. We'd put on a show for the school once a month or so. Occasionally he'd ask us to help out at his studio. A few of us went to help him tape a video 1 day - had no idea who or what we were taping. Ended up being Sugar Hill's Apache Rap video. Just had a tepee and some Native American costumes against blue background. Not a high production value back then. It was a private HS, so there we were in our coats and ties taping the Apache Rap - maybe the best juxtaposition I've ever been part of.
