Tablet for mother in law

My mother in law is looking at an extended hospital stay (oral cancer is a bitch of a disease), and we wanted to get her a tablet so she could watch Netflix while in the hospital. I can think of no other use she would have for a tablet so a bare bones one is what I am thinking. Any suggestions?

sorry to hear about the oral cavity cancer. That is indeed a tough problem to deal with.
