NCAA determines that there are no minimum eligibility requirements for bowls this season. So, winless and COVID rampant Vanderbilt is now bowl eligible in 2020.

Gators and Wake have had two scheduling overlaps so far this year. Covid has helped resolve them both.

The COVID outbreaks among so many college football teams comes as no surprise when watching the games. Just from the few short samples via side-line camera shots shows minimal precautions are taken by most teams. Most coaches and sideline personnel seem to be taking a mask optional approach (FWIW, the SEC issued multiple $100K fines this week); not surprised that Saban tested positive; won't be long until Lane Kiffin and his light blue handkerchief tests positive. Really a stark difference when compared to NFL sidelines. Also, while a transmission from crowds to the sideline seem unlikely the crowd shots could be used as examples if you want to maximize COVID transmissions: mass crowds sitting close together, mask optional, people with their mouths open. Complete lack of discipline and failure to follow basic steps to protect others. Just another way to weed out idiots.

That is all well and good. However, does Wake get an actual bowl invitation this season?

Does a 5-5 Wake team get passed over for some 2-7 SEC team?

The Ga St - Ark St game is good. 28-28 at half. Both of these teams have some good offensive players. Fun to watch.
