The 2020-21 College Football Thread: Alabama Unleashes Bold Familiar Flavor on CFB !!

Looks like OK State may blow out Miami. Less than 10 minutes into the game and it’s 14-0. Miami has no pass defense.

Update - the blowout is on. 21-0 and still in the first quarter. Miami is embarrassing the ACC.

21-7 and Miami marching. Football is a long game.

Miami was driving.......but a TD was called back by penalty, then King hurt his knee, then back up QB. They did get a FG, but it doesn’t look good for the Canes. Was hoping this would be an exciting game as it my entertainment for tonight.

These officials are absolute garbage in this game.

Totally agree on officiating.

The game turned out not be be a blowout and was a pretty good second half. Wish Miami could have gotten a FG to tie at the end. Their backup QB did a good job.

Miami has been a nothing-burger since joining the ACC

football is a sixty minute game. Miami still lost but gave a great show. Game reminded me of our game in Charlotte against a&m a few years back. You sound like a bunch of the whiny fans around me who were pissing and moaning when we were down 14-0 after a few minutes but we still had John Wolford and knowing that Clawson does not panic. Good teams that are well coached with good quarterbacks never give up. Learn a little bit about college football then come back here and extrapolate on the game. Go find a good book written by Knute Rockne or somebody.

He did, but if King had played the whole game, I think Miami wins.

Miami outplayed osu but keep shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers And dropped passes etc

One of the turnovers, which led directly to an OSU TD, was a botched handoff wherein both the QB and RB thought the other was taking the ball. The ball ended up on the ground and OSU player recovered. That is one turnover that likely doesn't happen if King is at QB.

Is there anywhere to find projected lines for the championship game (Bama vs Clemson, or Bama vs tOSU). Some Googling has yielded nothing.

William Hill has it as:
Clemson -9.5 over Notre Dame
Ohio State -4.5 over Notre Dame
Alabama -11 over Ohio State
Alabama -4 over Clemson

Lines as of 12/28

yeah even when the ACC rigged the system for them to be good. putting them in the opposite division as FSU, having that game as the Labor Day game and allowing the loser time to recover, putting the ACCCG in FL. too bad the dream Miami-FSU rematch never happened and it took til a couple of years ago for Miami to even make the ACCCG.

Yep. Wake has played in the same number of ACCCG's as Miami, and we won.
