The Memorial

Tiger's gotta hate missing this one. Finally a US Open with no rough where you can hit it almost anywhere off the tee and be in play and he's out. Rock solid short game guys should thrive. Spieth is a good pick. Could see some of the other rock solid putters compete - Walker, Kuchar, Donald, Zach Johnson... Will be interesting to see how much love grass they've grown and how much sand they pile into the sandy areas. If the fairways run and missing them becomes a legit penalty, things could change big time. A year ago you were more likely to get a friendly, albeit slightly sandy lie off the fairway. Basically just one extra club and you're fine. I doubt that'll be the case now though.
