during the 1965-66 season, Billy Jones of Maryland became the first African-American player in ACC basketball history
Obviously this was an important step in the modernization of ACC basketball
Since that year, the worst 9-year ACC winning percentage belongs to:
Wake Forest, 2010-11 through 2018-19, 41-117, .259
Other horrible stretches, just not as horrible as WF, belong to:
BC, same 9 years, 42-116, .266
Clemson, 1967-68 through 1975-76, 32-84, .276
NCSU, 1992-93 through 2000-01, 40-104, .278
