Tiger is a top 5 pick this year. It's a no brainer. He could have shot 90 today and it wouldn't change my mind. Let us not forget he was playing with Romo. That doomed him.
Good point about Romo.
Wouldn't pick Tiger of my boi PHIL but he's still going to play Augusta like it's his home course and he'll score well. I'm a huge Phil guy but I really think Tiger is going to have a great year.
I'd put Rory ahead of Tiger, but that's prolly about it. Westwood's putter is consistently less reliable than Woods' is. And Phil has been majorly inconsistent the last couple of years. Rory is consistently trending upwards. Of the guys further down that list, I see DJ and Kaymer (who I don't like) being strong contenders at Augusta this year.
I don't see Kaymer contending at all. He's seriously spooked by Augusta because he has a very hard time hitting the ball right to left. He even tried to change his swing last year to play better at Augusta and it pretty much ruined his season.
Barring injury or someone running away from the field, I'd say it's almost a lock that Tiger is in contention on Sunday.
Here are the Masters Odds from about 10 days ago. I haven't seen an updated list yet:
Tiger Woods . . . 9/2
Rory McIlroy . . . 8/1
Phil Mickelson . . . 15/1
Lee Westwood . . . 20/1
Luke Donald . . . 20/1
Adam Scott . . . 25/1
Jason Day . . . 30/1
Dustin Johnson . . . 30/1
Nick Watney . . . 40/1
Rickie Fowler . . . 40/1
Martin Kaymer . . . 40/1
Charl Schwartzel . . . 40/1
Fowler being on this list is LOL funny.
I'll take me some Phil at 15-1.
