Totally Unofficial 2021/22 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Clear penalty not given by VAR despite Ederson clearly going through Ødegaard to get the ball. Great start.

SAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Outstanding first half performance, deservedly 1-0 up and on a more clinical day it could have been 2 or 3.

Says everything you need to know about City that Arsenal played incredibly well and bosses large parts of the half and City still had 67% possession.

Partey with a 10/10 first half performance, Townie in shambles. Absolute shame that he now has to leave for AFCON, he’s played tremendously for a month now.

That’s a garbage decision, especially after no PK given in the first half AND because he didn’t ask Atwell to review the other one.

City get away with two Xhaka red cards, nothing given. City dive gets called as a PK. And now a red card.

New year, same old EPL favoritism.

Well the good feelings lasted an hour, will be a miracle if we hold on for a point

Jared Gillett has been the VAR referee for multiple games now where Arsenal get treated vastly differently than the opposing team by VAR. The Mike Dean of VAR.

The worst part is if Martinelli scores on the open net, we are celebrating instead of the ball going to midfield for the red card

A fantastic performance from Arsenal, deserved 3 points, got none. Happy new year, everyone.

Rodri had like 10 fouls and no yellows, then rubbed it in by getting a yellow for removing his shirt. Arsenal had 5 yellows and a red after 11 fouls.

I mean Saka got a yellow for simply asking why Rodri hadn’t gotten a yellow after like his 7th foul.

Lol just saw the official stats after the game and that yellow for celebrating was the first City got all game. Got one more in the last minute for Bernardo, but no yellows given until that celebration is classic.
